Instructions

You have been given a git repo with a simple unstyled html page. You are required to initialize it as a node project, add tailwind css, and style the content using tailwind.

For this assignment you cannot add tailwind via a cdn, you must set up a tailwind.config.js file and use it appropriately.

Review the following categories on how this assignment will be graded.

NPM Project Setup (5pts)

  • Properly configured package.json
  • node_modules/ added to .gitignore
  • add a tailwind build command to the scripts

Tailwind Configuration (5pts)

  • tailwind.config.js file added to project
  • at least the following present in your tailwind config.
    • colors
    • fonts
    • screen size breakpoints
    • spacing
  • assets/css/main.css contains tailwind imports
  • main.css file or tailwind.css.config file used to set up default font sizes

Content Styling (5pts)

  • All content is styled using only tailwind styling methods (no custom classes)
  • Design is responsive and mobile first
  • Design uses colors and fonts defined in the tailwind.config.js file

General Requirements (5pts)

  • Project is in a github repo named cpnt201-a3
  • Add a README.md file to the root of your project
    • Readme contains:
      • Basic Info:
        • your name
        • course and assignment number
        • link to deployed github page
        • link to github repo
        • attributions to assets
      • Additional Information
        • a brief note on your experience using tailwind
      • a brief note on your understanding of whata css framework is.
  • Note that links in both your readme and submission need to be accurate

Submission Instructions

  • Submit the zipped folder to brightspace
  • Submit your live page and repo link in the text area of your submission.
